Digital Menu Solution
Greggs is the UK’s leading bakery food on the go retailer with over 1,700 shops across the UK. Having established a link between digital advertising and increased sales, Greggs were keen to take advantage of the benefits in their shops.
Greggs wanted a cost effective digital solution that would provide savings compared with printed menus, deliver marketing messages and provide flexibility to change messages across a diverse range of outlets including high streets, industrial estates and motorway services.
The content reflects a complex pricing matrix across all shops and updates can be made immediately. As well as showing menu board and pricing information, the screens are used to promote products, highlight special offers and promote the Greggs Foundation, the charitable trust.
As standard, three 42″ passive screens are pole mounted to the ceiling behind the counter in Greggs shops, complementing the window displays. In other locations, where the size of the premises may not make 42” screens appropriate, 32” passive screens have been installed into the bulkheads.
With changing demands and new technological developments, Greggs wanted a solution that would be future proofed and capable of interactivity. It was essential that the software reflected this.
