Transforming data into user-friendly designs

Centralising digital communications

Port of Tyne, a busy deep seaport in the North East of England, utilises digital corporate communications throughout its offices, rest areas, reception and their research and development-focused meeting room space, the “Innovation Hub”. In a fast-moving environment where people’s attention can be hard to capture, they needed a way to centralise their digital communications to wow their guests and keep staff on-site in the know. They needed an easily managed solution that could display a wide range of content including announcements, KPIs, documents, health and safety information and live data feeds. It also had to integrate with several complex data sources throughout Port of Tyne’s business and allow independent outputs on each screen.

Displaying information everywhere with ease

We worked with multiple teams including those in Health & Safety, Operations, I.T & Internal Comms, and more recently the Innovation & Technology team to design a fully integrated display solution allowing them to display information across their site through a variety of media formats.

Launching the new digital signage

They now benefit from a full display solution that is managed centrally but can display various media outputs independently between buildings and locations on site. This enabled Port of Tyne to display large-format, easily readable digital signage including warnings to those working in hazardous conditions, critical KPI data to office staff and even impressive welcome screens for visitors.
